I have an 8 year old red heeler named Annie. She has been around farm work since 8 weeks old (pictured above), but she's no stock dog. I had coon hounds as a child, so the respect/want for a working dog is real. I enjoy animals, we have 2 live stock guardian dogs at the farm, plus 4 horses, 4 dairy cows and a handful of cats. I appreciate the animal diversity, all of them have such different demeanor's.
Before I was 20, my family and I lost both of my mothers parents to cancer. Great people, lots of love. In September of 2020, my mom was diagnosed with AML (Leukemia). I wound up with the opportunity to donate stem cells to her (pictured), when her perfect match donor fell through. She is healthy as can be presently, and carries my blood everyday! Modern science is an amazing thing, I'm grateful to live in these times. I believe there is direct correlation to today's farming practice and cancer. Remember, Glyphosate wasn't used until the 1970's. Cancer is on the rise folks, get checked & pay attention to your food source!
My grandfathers construction company has been my work gig since high school. I work with my dad and uncle, they have been there for 20+ years. Grandma has been the secretary/storage unit operator for 15+. I'm proud to be a part of the operation! I have learned many skills and I'm excited to put them to the test in the future. I am a sponge and soak in all the knowledge that is around me. Between my grandfathers 40 years in the construction industry, or Arts 40 years farming, I am learning everyday! Rest assured, they are asked MANY questions. I have also been close with Art and Deborah Ozias. I emailed art in 2013 looking for farm work, he took a town kid in and made quick work of me. He offered a labor lease in 2020 and i never looked back. My farming resume was diversified when I worked on a few different conventional farms after meeting art. It was crucial for me to understand how commercial ag worked, after learning about regenerative ag from day 1 on the farm. I hope to always help preserve the Ozias farm while raising the BEST beef and helping capitalize on what their farm has to offer, as well as building my own!
